VCFA - Voltage controlled Filter and Amplifier

The CubuSynth VCFA is a multimode VCF with LP,HP and BP modes with integrated VCA, CV control over Frequency, Resonance and Volume.
The CV input for the Frequency features 1V/Oct scaling over about 2~3 octaves. So you can even create plucky melodies
with the resonance in "ringing" mode.
The Gain control can reach a nice, soft saturation.

VCFA Build

I'm not impressed by the finished build. The fall-offs in the frequency response of each filter acts like a step function. For example, on LP, there's no output while increasing the frequency control until the midway point when the output suddenly comes on like at step function. No gradual changeover. The BP and the HP each act like very narrow band-pass, once again preceded and succeeded by step functions. Great building the thing, but I'll probably bin it because of its pathetic musicality

Hi Kieran,
please check all your soldering and Parts placements. Let us know if you need some assistance.
This is not typical behaviour of this filter, it should not have a 'step-function' by design.

Fun build, nice filter!

Very nice module - lots of experimentation options with the three filter types and the built-in vca.
Fun to build too!
